Compass is seeking Contract Administrator to join our onsite Legal team in Dallas, Texas. (This is an onsite role located in Dallas, Texas)

Job Overview:

The Contract Administrator will support the Director of Lease and Contracts with preparing, reviewing, setting up, and administrating contracts and legal documentation. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. The Contract Administrator will be a key resource in ensuring the smooth execution of corporate and legal initiatives while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.     

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and manage various contract types, including NDAs, consulting, professional services, and vendor/service agreements.
  • Create abstracts for contracts, power agreements, leases, and other legal documents.
  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, and expiration dates.
  • Manage corporate records, including LLC agreements, organizational documents, board minutes, and foreign entity requirements.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements within defined parameters, such as master service agreements and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Facilitate internal approvals and assist execution of agreements in accordance with delegation of authority.
  • Assist with real estate tax matters, coordinating with attorneys, land development teams, and internal tax accountants.
  • Oversee the setup of new entities, including correspondence with outside counsel and reviewing corporate documents for accuracy before execution.
  • Support internal project handoffs by documenting milestones, outstanding issues, and associated risks.
  • Provide administrative support for capital markets and finance transactions, including:
    • Assisting with internal and external due diligence requests, including KYC
    • Supporting regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Tracking critical requirements in development-related agreements.
    • Ensuring electronic closing binders are received, filed, and distributed correctly.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to provide visibility into contract status and risks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 3–5 years of experience in contract or lease administration, ideally within real estate, or legal assistant roles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (business administration, real estate or legal studies) or a Paralegal certification or property management designation.
  • Candidate must be fluent in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak with proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of legal documents, including commercial leases, LLC agreements, and purchase agreements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with the commercial real estate industry and development transactions; international transaction experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with limited oversight.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
