The Physical Security Specialist is responsible for:

Assessing physical security risks across the enterprise and manages security equipment and training. The individual in this role provides technical security guidance and works closely with operations and other support groups to ensure physical security measures are in place and effective. The SME coordinates physical security initiatives and provides expertise and counsel to the Manager, Physical Security and VP, Global Physical Security and Life Safety

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as subject matter expert in all aspects of Physical Security
  • Ensure all physical security incidents in their assigned regions are tracked and thoroughly investigated
  • Coordinate the distribution of Security Notifications
  • Support deployment coordination efforts of security systems at new locations to support Compass’ growth
  • Coordinate the implementation of Security System Architecture to include Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Alarm Detection, Intercoms and other security devices
  • Support the review and documentation of security policies, process, and procedures
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embraces Compass’ Core Purpose and Core Convictions and works to permeate throughout the Operations organization
  • Security Culture reinforcement
  • Collaborate with the project managers and contribute to projects as required
  • QA of all customer implementation and support operations
  • Required to travel up to 50%

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 6 years of experience within the security sector
  • Professional Certification such as ASP, PSP or CPP preferred
  • Technical knowledge of CCTV, access control systems
  • Working knowledge of Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with employees, clients & third parties
  • Ability to create and interpret technical documents and reports
  • Excels at data analysis and forming and presenting recommendations based on quantitative information
  • Ability to work effectively with, senior managers and third-party vendors, demonstrating a comfort level to persuade, influence and negotiate
  • Self-motivated and results oriented, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Genetec Software experience preferred
