Under the guidance of, and reporting to the Director of IT Security, this role combines deep
expertise in IT security strategy with hands-on operational responsibilities to ensure the
confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information assets. The position also requires direct experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS / OT) at an intermediate level.

Primary responsibilities:

· Serve as an SME available for all internal departments for all matters related to IT security, providing expert guidance on emerging threats, industry best practices, and compliance standards.
· Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threat landscapes to continuously enhance the organization's security posture.
· Collaborate with the Director of IT Security to develop and refine IT security strategies, policies, and procedures.
· Assess and evaluate existing security controls, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to mitigate risks effectively.
· Lead incident response efforts, conducting thorough investigations into security incidents, and coordinating response activities to minimize impact.
· Provide recommendations for improving incident response procedures based on lessons learned.
· Actively participate in the implementation, configuration, and management of security technologies, such as firewalls, XDR / SIEM, and advanced threat detection systems.
· Conduct and coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and address potential weaknesses.
· Develop and deliver security awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices, ensuring a culture of security throughout the organization.
· Provide training sessions to IT and non-IT staff on relevant security topics.

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience in IT security roles with a focus on both strategic planning and hands-on operations. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
· Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field. Highly Preferred: CISSP or equivalent.
· Ability to travel to Compass facilities globally.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Ability to embrace and permeate Compass Culture and Core Convictions throughout the organization consistently and effectively.
· Ability to apply Compass Change Management policies during the day-to-day operation and while under incident, in a calm, collected manner.
· Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
· Ability to analyze a set of problems or ad hoc workflow, document, improve, and train others to hand off to long term.
· Autonomous with team spirit.
