Compass is seeking a Sr. Director, Design Program to join our Design & Solutions Engineering team in Dallas, TX to lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of the Design Program. This role is responsible for creating and managing standardized Design Programs & Prototypes to streamline project delivery and ensure consistency across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with extensive cross-disciplinary engineering expertise and a sharp eye for detail, capable of simplifying complex processes and fostering alignment across project teams

Responsibilities:

Create, document, and refine standardized design processes to ensure efficient, repeatable, and high-quality project execution. Implement best practices that streamline workflows and enhance coordination across multiple teams and disciplines.
Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess design quality, efficiency, budget adherence, and project timelines. Use these metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with program objectives.
Lead the development and maintenance of prototype designs and plans of record that serve as the blueprint for all data center projects. Ensure these prototypes are Continuous Improved based on Lesson Learned and Industry Developments.
Develop quality control measures to guarantee that all design outputs meet prototype design and customer requirements.
Facilitate clear, consistent communication with stakeholders across departments, simplifying complex technical details to ensure understanding and alignment.

What You Need to Succeed

10+ years in Design & Engineering in Mission Critical Sector with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing complex programs and standardizations.
Understanding of all major engineering disciplines applicable to Mission Critical design (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, BMS, Telcom, Structural, Civil).
Ability to identify and resolve design inconsistencies, foresee potential issues, and maintain high-quality standards across multiple disciplines.

Data Center Experience
Experience managing Mission Critical projects across various geographies and adapting to diverse regulatory environments.
